Shawn Dealey, Chief Engineer and Dolby Atmos mixer at Sweetwater Studios in Fort Wayne, Indiana. An industry veteran of 20 plus years, Shawn’s career has focused on both live and studio work, most notably spending 10 years with Counting Crows as Front of House Engineer, Producer and Engineer. Since 2017, he has been an integral part of Sweetwater Studios and has reinvigorated the 3-room facility situated in the headquarters of Sweetwater Sound, North America’s largest online music retailer.
Starting in the fall of 2021, Shawn has been focused on developing successful techniques in Dolby Atmos mixing, along with training and education surrounding Immersive music mixing. He has over 200 releases in Atmos, with a diverse roaster of artists such as Animals As Leaders, Collective Soul, Bullion, Hana Vu, Dua Saleh, Kate Bollinger, Bootsy Collins, Seafood Sam, Andy Timmons, Bones Owens, Crushed and many more.
