Ceri is known throughout the international industry as the face of Dolby Atmos for Music. His connection to immersive go back to his college dissertation project; an exploration of Andy Warhol style ‘Screen Tests’ set to a self-composed ambient immersive score. His experience in the film industry saw him work with industry leaders both on the audio side with companies such as Soundelux, Todd-AO and Danetracks; and with directors such as Ridley Scott, Oliver Stone, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton and many more. He has consulted with companies across the industry from behemoths such as Avid, Apple and Dolby to smaller but influential companies such as SoundsInSync, McDSP, Synchro Arts, Audiomovers, iZotope, and many more. After leading the team at Dolby involved in studio enablement and increasing the number of immersive music studios from 2 when he joined the team to around 400 when he left Dolby, he joined Apple Music in March 2022 where he put in place quality standards for studios and listening rooms. As well as the content itself with the development and implementation of the companies Spatial Audio QC pipeline. Ceri is currently running his own company, IMMERSV. Founded to work across the industry and formats to ensure that creatives can achieve their goals and vision both through workflow collaboration, education and innovation. IMMERSV also continues to consult with companies interested in the immersive field to drive collaboration and exceptional experiences.
