Emily Cheng is a composer, music producer, multi-instrumentalist and engineer whose career bridges music creation, product innovation, and technology development. Emily began her musical journey as a classically trained pianist and educator, teaching piano for over a decade across various institutions. Prior to joining Gibson, she worked as an engineer in the aerospace, tech, electronics, and consumer goods industries. She is currently a Software Engineer in the Gibson Pro Audio team, where she contributes to the development of software and embedded systems for Gibson’s family of leading brands, including KRK Systems. Beyond software engineering, Emily works as an active composer and producer in Nashville, working with independent artists and composing for film, TV, videogames, animation, and other media.
